Accelera Capital was established in Hong Kong in 2000 to focus on early stage, high growth investment opportunities, principally in the Broadband technology sector. Accelera Capital also focuses on global investment opportunities which have the potential to be transplanted or marketed directly into the high growth North Asian markets. Since 2000 Accelera Capital has actively worked with each of its investments to develop and market their products for the North Asian markets.

• Accelera Capital has established an international portfolio of investments in 4 companies in each key sector of broadband technology - hardware, software and services - within 18 months.
• Accelera Capital has quickly established a professional reputation in Silicon Valley and this is now allowing it access to new deal flow from a variety of sources, particularly from Hong Kong and China and the west coast of the US.
• Accelera Capital has access to established investment expertise in the US, Europe and Asia and is able to liaise with broadband industry experts, including its partners in Accelera Consulting, all over the world.

Investment Criteria

Accelera Capital seeks investment opportunities which possess:

• Novel and innovative use of broadband technology - in each of the sectors of hardware, software and services;
• Technology developed in the US and/or Europe with key growth potential in all the North Asian markets;
• A clear vision of the business model for generating revenue and profits;
• An experienced management team with a proven track record in the industry.
  

Investment Size

The majority of Accelera Capital's investments are early stage development capital of up to USD 1,000,000 for small high growth companies. The size of the equity stake taken will vary according to the stage of development of the investment however Accelera Capital invariably seeks to take a controlling equity position in each investment.
