Purple Lizard is a software engineering company focused on the design, construction and delivery of component-based web systems. The company was founded in order to bring years of corporate systems engineering expertise and development rigour to bear upon the new challenges of Web architectures.

We bring experience from both consulting and corporations, covering bricks and mortar and the Internet. The management team is drawn from both sides - consulting experience from Accenture and IBM, combined with many years systems experience from blue chip companies such as Prudential. Technically, our management team has in-depth experience of integrating the Web with existing systems through companies such as Nokia, Prudential, Fidelity Investments, JP Morgan, Merchant Investors, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and others. These systems have been delivered through a variety of channels ranging from client-server applications, Web Sites, to WAP and multimedia kiosks.

The Purple Lizard team has adopted Java as its preferred development technology. As Java has matured it has increasingly demonstrated its advantages as a server-side language, and with the arrival of Sun's Java 2 Enterprise Edition a toolkit for building reliable, scalable and integrated web solutions is here. This rich toolkit needs to be used by experienced hands in order to be effective. This is what Purple Lizard provides.
Purple Lizard focuses on building systems solutions using the J2EE architecture. Our engineering approach and technology focus has grown from many years’ diverse experience with large scale distributed systems spanning mainframe through client-server and distributed systems to the Internet. This expertise thrives on the challenges provided by the Net and the sophisticated technology toolkit within J2EE.
