David Sturt, Managing Director
David co-founded Purple Lizard in December 2000 and is responsible for corporate operations, financial control and legal issues.

Prior to joining Purple Lizard he was the technical architect of the Prudential E-Commerce web-site and then in charge of technology operations for internet incubator EOS Ventures. David's previous 15 years of design experience encompass client-server and mainframe development of management information, transactional and workflow systems for large financial companies.
Technically, David's experience fuses current innovations with years of traditional technology from having deployed java application server and CORBA technologies to interface web applications to mainframe and UNIX based legacy systems.
David has an MSc in Computer Science from City University, a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Birmingham University and is a member of the British Computer Society.

Mark Negus, Director of Engineering
Mark co-founded Purple Lizard in December 2000 and is responsible for design vision and engineering innovation.

Before founding Purple Lizard, Mark spent over 7 years with Accenture designing and implementing distributed component systems, before moving on to become Director of Engineering with internet incubator EOS Ventures.
Mark is a worldwide expert on component technologies, having driven Accenture's position on CORBA and Microsoft's DCOM technologies, and was instrumental in the Prudential's move into eCommerce and other major b2b initiatives.
Mark has a BSc in Mathematics from Durham University.

Doug Stoddart, Client Services Director
Doug co-founded Purple Lizard in December 2000 and is responsible for client engagement management and ensuring best practice throughout the company.

Before founding Purple Lizard, Doug spent 3 years at Goldman Sachs International where he was a senior programmer and team leader developing Electronic Trading systems for the bank. Doug launched his career with Accenture, where he was central to the delivery of a number of large systems.
His technical background lies in large, cross-platform client-server and n-tier systems, with extensive experience in C, C++ and Java.
Doug has a BSc in Psychology from Bristol University.

Dan Carter, Director of Research and Development
Dan is a co-founder of Purple Lizard and is responsible for Purple Lizard's infrastructure and development approach.

Dan spent 7 years in technical roles with Accenture before moving to EOS Ventures, where he was responsible for the technical architecture and common frameworks underpinning all sites produced there.
His technical expertise lies in component architectures, session management, data driven site deployment and dynamic content delivery and span a wide range of tools and products such as C++, Java, PowerBuilder to IBM Mainframes and TIBCO's ObjectBus.
Dan holds a BSc in Mathematics from Durham University.
